Research has shown that 90% of a child's brain growth happens by age 5. We slyly incorporate the work of Anne Green-Gilbert, Alfred Adler and Jean Benoit into your child's dancing time. Green-Gilbert's theories emphasize the integration of physical movement, cognitive skills, and emotional development to support holistic growth in early childhood. Adler's work focuses on the importance of social connectedness and the development of self-esteem. Benoit concepts stress the importance of early relationships in the development of emotional security and cognitive.
We support and accelerate your child's development. Yes, dance can do that.
This class introduces the dancer to the classroom environment and focuses on laying a foundation for body awareness and movement. The first few classes of Tiny Toes begin with a grown up participating. After a few weeks, the dancer will have the confidence and desire to take class independently.
The focus for this class is body awareness and spatial relationships to the room and the other dancers. Expanding how they understand themselves in time and space.
Using an appropriate book from children's literature, the dancers will continue working on body awareness and coordination, and now include vocabulary and different qualities and textures to move through space.
Dancers in Crazy Legs and Dance Tales are invited to join us on stage for Sweet Suite Nutcracker performances in November and our end of year presentation Extrava-DANCE-a in June.
